Application for the Italian government Invest Your Talent in Italy scholarship is now open. The program will award a number of scholarships, for the academic year 2024-2025, in favor of international students interested in attending higher education courses in Italy, within the framework of the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program.

This government scholarships are awarded for courses of Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale or Master universitario) at Italian Higher Education Institutes partners of the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program. As part of the program, selected candidates must attend a mandatory internship at partner Italian companies.


The Invest Your Talent in Italy scholarship is incompatible with any other scholarship and/or any other financial aid provided by the Italian Government or any Italian public institution. The Program is aimed at increasing cooperation between Italian universities and companies, so as to boost their level of internationalization. It also allows young foreign talents to get their specialization in Italy and to start a working experience in the Italian companies that are part of the Program.

  • Eligible Program: Engineering-Advanced Technology, Management-Economics, Design-Architecture.

  • Duration: up to 4 semesters.
  • Eligible countries: applicants must be citizens, effectively living, in one of the following countries: Azerbaijan, Armenia, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ghana, Kazakhstan, Mexico, People’s Republic of China, Republic of Korea, Tunisia, Türkiye and Vietnam.

This scholarship is fully funded and successful applicants for the Scholarship will receive a € 1000 monthly allowance on a quarterly basis. The scholarship will cover a period of study of 9 (nine) months starting from October 1, 2024. Students enrolled in a two-year course program (Laurea Magistrale) can apply for the renewal of the IYT scholarship awarded in the previous year.


Candidates who are granted a scholarship under the “Invest Your Talent in Italy” Program are exempted from the payment of tuition fees except for the Regional Tax for “Diritto allo Studio”, stampduty, any expenses regarding accident insurance and/or civil liability, as well as the health insurance policy. Grantees must subscribe a health insurance policy to cover any expenses due to illnesses or accidents. The scholarship does not cover travel expenses and does not include accommodation.

Note : The “Invest Your Talent in Italy” scholarship is incompatible with any other scholarship and/or any other economic facility offered by the Italian Government or any other Italian public institution, including the grants provided by Italian Regions “per il diritto allo studio regionale (Right to education provided by Regional Authorities).



Italian Government Invest Your Talent in Italy Scholarship Eligibility

To qualify for this scholarship to study in Europe, Applicants must meet the following requirements at the time of the deadline.

  • be a Citizen of one of the 15 Countries listed above
  • have been born ON or AFTER January 1st, 1998, except for the case of scholarship renewal;
  • hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent to enroll in the chosen Master’s degree Program (Laurea Magistrale or Master Universitario). Candidates must have completed their Bachelor’s Degree. Students who are currently studying at an Italian university and those who have obtained an Italian University Degree are not eligible;
  • have at least a B2-level of English. An English language certificate within the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (highly recommended IELTS, TOEIC & TOEFL) is required.
  • candidate who has obtained an English-taught Bachelor’s Degree can submit a certificate issued by his/her university, stating that English is the medium of instruction in that university/course/faculty. This certificate can be accepted as proof of proficiency in English.

Note : Proof of proficiency in Italian is not mandatory, but will be taken into due consideration in the selection process. Students who are currently studying at an Italian university and those who have obtained an Italian University Degree are not eligible for the IYT Program.

How to Apply for the Invest Your Talent in Italy Scholarship?

Eligible applicant must first check universities and courses included in the Program. After choosing the course, you have to contact the university for a pre-application, indicating that you are an IYT applicant. After submitting your pre-application to the University, you can start your online application. The full surname and all the given names must be included in the personal information section of the online application form (as stated in the candidate’s passport).

Required Documents

  1. final transcript of all previous exams, as well as the final grade (Bachelor’s Degree);
  2. students who have completed their Bachelor’s studies but have not yet received their Diploma along with the final transcript of all previous exams must submit, along with the final transcript, a document on letterhead paper from their University certifying that they have completed their Bachelor’s program and are waiting for the Diploma to be issued. This document must be issued through and signed by a representative of the Academic Registrar’s Office;
  3. English language certificate (for example IELTS or TOEFL);
  4. Italian language certificate, when applicable;
  5. video in which the candidate should explain their motivations (no longer than 1 minute);
  6. CV/resume;
  7. valid Passport.

An official translation into English, French, or Spanish is required if the documents are in a language other than these three languages. Both the translated documents and the original copies must be provided. Incomplete applications will not be accepted. It’s not possible to send the supporting documents by email. Multiple applications using different email addresses are not allowed and will be rejected.

Note : Only those students who have submitted their pre-application for ONE of the postgraduate courses (Laurea Magistrale or Master) included in the Program can apply for a IYT scholarship, following each University’s enrollment procedures. Candidates can apply for ONE course only. The second choice is only possible for those courses accepting a limited number of students. In this case, the second choice is displayed automatically when completing the application. Students are entitled to receive the IYT scholarship only if they are admitted to the course, they have applied for, through the IYT platform.
